Minimalist Library 2.2 Update

Introducing the next version of the Minimalist Library for Blocs app. Version 2.2 brings the ability to build beautiful, mobile-friendly tables in the Blocs app.

We are excited to announce the release of the latest version of the Minimalist Libraryfor the Blocs website builder. Version 2.2 introduces a series of new sections and numerous enhancements to existing ones.

The primary enhancements are in the SPECIALS category, which now includes 10 new custom table sections. These allow you to create beautiful, mobile-friendly tables with just a few clicks.

Horizontal Scroll for Mobile-Friendly Tables

There are several methods to make tables mobile-friendly. We could have altered the layout for mobile devices by adjusting the number of rows and columns, or we could have designed tables that hide less critical information on smaller screens.

However, these approaches might compromise the table’s content integrity, which is not ideal for personal or professional websites.

Therefore, we’ve implemented the horizontal scroll feature of the Blocs app, enabling horizontally scrollable tables on SM and XS breakpoints, while maintaining all data and columns exactly as they appear on the larger LG and MD breakpoints.

We believe this method is superior because it is:

1. Easy to manage
2. Fully responsive – meaning that unless the screen is extremely narrow, users won’t even notice the horizontal scroll in tables. Once viewed on smaller screens, the table will smoothly scroll from left to right.
