Top Reasons to Buy iPhone SE Instead of iPhone 7

Apple has just released the iPhone SE, and many people are considering to purchase it instead of waiting for iPhone 7.

iPhone SE is the new iPhone, which has the design of iPhone 5 and the specs of iPhone 6s.

iPhone SE is the new iPhone, which has the design of iPhone 5 and the specs of iPhone 6s.

Last week, I posted an article about the pros and cons of iPhone SE. In that article, I explained why I have decided not to switch to iPhone SE from my iPhone 6 Plus.

At the same time, I believe that iPhone SE might be the best phone on the market for the many people out there, and now is be the best time to buy one. However, the questions are should you wait for iPhone 7, which is coming in less than six months?

These are my top reasons why you should not wait for iPhone 7, and instead go for iPhone SE.

There won’t be 4-inch iPhone 7

If the smaller form factor is the biggest reason you want to buy iPhone SE, there is no point to wait for iPhone 7. I am sure that Apple is not going to release a 4-inch iPhone 7, and it definitely won’t update the SE so early.

iPhone SE will last for at least 2–3 years

With a couple of small exceptions, iPhone SE has excellent specs, putting it on the same level of performance as Apple’s flagship smartphone, iPhone 6s.

Because even my iPhone 5 is still usable and well supported by Apple, the future proof specs of iPhone SE will be more than enough to keep the performance of this ‘special edition’ phone on a very high level for at least 2–3 years.

iPhone 7 will be better, but more expensive as well

Another critical thing to keep in mind is the price of iPhone SE. Even if Apple releases the iPhone 7 with better specs and camera, it will be much more expensive than iPhone SE.

If coming September, you will consider price as the most critical factor when deciding what phone to buy, you will end up choosing iPhone SE anyway.

To summarize, if you want a powerful iPhone with a comfortable form factor, and with a ‘kind’ price tag, there is no reason to wait for iPhone 7.
