Double the Storage in OneDrive for Free

The battle to become the king of the online storage services continues, bringing the further excitement to regular users. After just 2 month since dropping the prices for its OneDrive cloud storage, Microsoft is doubling the amount of free storage for any user who activates the auto upload feature for camera roll on iOS, Android or Windows device.

In our comparison of cloud storage pricing plans, we have mentioned that OneDrive gives users 15GB of free storage. Now, by activating the auto upload feature in OneDrive app on your device, you will get an additional 15GB, taking the amount of free storage to 30GB.

While making the announcement on OneDrive blog, Microsoft did not miss the chance to remind us about the storage issues iPhone users have experienced when trying to update their devices to iOS 8, with some devices requiring up to 6GB of free storage to install the update, forcing users to delete their photos, videos and apps.

According to Microsoft, this limited time offer, which is expected to stand until the end of September, applies to both new and existing OneDrive users, including the users who already use the OneDrive auto upload feature for camera roll on their devices.

If you still have not tried the OneDrive, we think that now is the best time to do so.
