Dropbox is finally available on Windows Phone
Last year Microsoft and Dropbox have started a partnership which is supposed to bring the companies closer to each other. The first step in the development of this partnership was an integration of Microsoft Office into Dropbox apps and an ability to automatically sync Office documents using Dropbox.
A few days ago, Dropbox has moved to the next level by finally releasing an official Dropbox app for Windows Phone. After many years of waiting, the users of smartphones and tablets run by Microsoft's mobile operating system are finally able to use this very popular service for syncing files on their devices.
The functionality of the app is similar to what you can find on any Android or iOS device. These are just some of the most popular features you can use on Windows Phone:
- Automatically back up your photos to Dropbox
- Making files as favorites for offline access
- Accessing multiple accounts on one device
- Ability to pin a folder to a Start screen for easy access
You can download the app, which supports all devices running Windows Phone 8.0 or higher, Windows RT or Windows 8.1, by following the links below. Enjoy!
