Angela Ahrendts to Join Apple as Senior Vice President
Apple announced today that the CEO of Burberry, Angela Ahrendts, will be joining Apple as a Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores, as well as a member of executive team.
Apple Stores are famous for its fashionable design and style. Companies like Samsung and Microsoft have tried to reach the similar high level of shopping experience with their own brand stores, but without a huge success. She has shown herself to be an extraordinary leader throughout her career and has a proven track record.”
Ahrendts expressed her honor of joining Apple in the following statement: “I am profoundly honored to join Apple in this newly created position next year, and very much look forward to working with the global teams to further enrich the consumer experience on and offline. I have always admired the innovation and impact Apple products and services have on people’s lives and hope in some small way I can help contribute to the company’s continued success and leadership in changing the world.”
Angela Ahrendts will start performing her new role from next year's spring. Angela will lead both strategic and operational activities of Apple's online and offline stores.
