Run Android Apps on Chrome OS

Few months ago, we have already shared with you our excitement about the news regarding the ability to run Android apps on Chrome OS. Back then, during the Google I/O 2014, Google has announced that it will bring the best of Android apps to Chromebooks. Today, after months of waiting, we are happy to tell you that we can finally use Android apps on Chrome OS devices.

The first Android apps to run on Chrome OS are: Duolingo - an app for learning languages, Evernote - one of the best note-taking apps, Sight Words - an app for teaching a child to read, and Vine - an app for sharing short video clips. Google is expected to continue adding the popular apps to this list, starting with the likes of Flipboard.

Being able to use Android apps on Chromebook dramatically increases the offline capabilities of Chrome OS and helps solve arguably the biggest problem of Chromebooks - limited offline functionality.
